9th Grade AHS Registration Meeting for 8th Grade Parents/Guardians, 5 pm, AHS Auditorium 9th Grade Registration Meeting
On Thursday, February 21, 2019, an informational meeting for parents of current 8th grade students for 9th grade registration at AHS for the 19-20 school year will be held at Athens High School in the auditorium beginning at 5:00 pm. The counselors will secure registration forms on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. If you have any questions about registration or programming at Athens High School, please try to attend.
ACSD Elementary School Building Project Public Input Sessions Public Input Session Post-it
Jeremy Biddinger and Colin Widdoes from RVC architects will be hosting several meetings in the coming weeks at locations throughout the District to provide opportunities for faculty, staff, parents, and community members to provide input ​​into the planning for our new PK-3 and Grades 4-6 school buildings. Several weeks ago I put out a call for volunteers to assist with Planning Committees for the programming and design of our new elementary and intermediate schools, as well as for the renovations at Athens Middle School. I had a great response. Given the forecast for this week, I thought it appropriate to resend the message and highlight the information regarding temperature/wind chill. AHS Key Club Supporting Global Community AHS Key Club Operation Christmas Child
In November, AHS Key Club members participated in Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, which has delivered 157 million gift filled shoe-boxes to boys and girls around the world during the holidays. Key Club collected $124.00 to purchase necessities such as, washcloths, toothbrushes and socks as well as toys and fun items to be donated for the shoe boxes. I'm sure many of you already know that we may have our first winter weather tomorrow morning, with expectations for freezing rain and ice accumulations.
