AHS Freshman Jordan Phillips Youngest Recipient of Child of Appalachia Award

(Article published in The Athens Messenger November 15, 2018) Fourteen-year-old Athens County resident Jordan Phillips is the 2018 recipient of the Child of Appalachia Award bestowed by The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio. The youngest recipient of the award, to date, Jordan has raised more than $100,000 to help fight breast cancer, with an emphasis on the Appalachian Ohio region.

AMS PTO Shirt Sale - Orders due by November 30

The Athens Middle School PTO is sponsoring a shirt sale.
Options include short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts. There is also the option for "bling lettering".
Orders can be placed by returning the order form and cash or check payable to AMS PTO to your student's Advisory teacher by November 30.
Orders will be returned through Advisory by December 17.

Beam Remote Presence Device Installed at East Elementary

A Beam remote presence device has been installed at East Elementary for a student that is unable to be at school. This is a joint pilot effort between The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children's Hospital to enable remote learning for students..
