Principal's Message

Mrs. Bobo, PrincipalWe believe there are multiple intelligences and each student has the potential for the expression of a unique mixture of talents (gifts). The East Elementary staff will assist students in reaching their potential by developing creative, critical thinkers and self-directed learners. We promote lifelong learning in a supportive, interactive, and culturally diverse community that values wellness. As such, our school environment will be socially, emotionally, and physically safe for all students and school personnel. Every individual and group within East Elementary will be responsible for maintaining this environment through the use of empathy and respect for all members of the community.

The Athens City School District Board of Education will have a Special Meeting on March 8, 2018 at Athens High School for the purpose of discussing the Master Facilities Plan and any other business that may come before the Board.
6th Grade Parent Meeting February 26, 6:00 pm, AMS Auditorium Meeting Clipart
The seventh grade registration process will occur during February. Administrators and the counselor from Athens Middle School will be visiting each school to go over course options and answer questions. On Monday, February 26, an informational meeting for parents will be held at 6:00 pm in the Athens Middle School auditorium. We will describe the steps in the registration process and talk about middle school procedures. Please try to attend.
