Important Information about Athens City Schools and the November 6th Election

One of the biggest threats to our district’s financial stability is the condition of our schools.
On the November 6th election, voters will see an issue to provide funding to build or renovate our schools.
The plan calls for new school buildings at: East Elementary, Morrison-Gordon Elementary and Athens High School. The ballot issue also includes renovations to Athens Middle School and a renovation/addition at The Plains Elementary.

Kellie Pauley, one of our Speech Language Pathologists, had an article that she and Janice Wright co-authored featured in the recent online journal (eHearsay). Mo-Go Students Win Awards

Mo-Go Fourth Graders won drawing awards at AgDay, which took place a the Athens County Fairgrounds. Brek Newton won Honorable Mention, while Petra Leonard won second place in the agriculture drawing contest. Congratulations, Brek and Petra!
