18 archers from the ACSD Bulldog Archery Team completed at the NASP World Tournament in Orlando, Florida. The team consisted of Athens students from Grades 6-12 and competed in the HS Division. The team scored 3,282/3,600 in the Target Tournament and 1,581/1,800 in the 3D IBO Tournament. Also, our team was the best team from the state of Ohio at the World Tournament
One of our archers also received her award from the Bloomington, IN IBO 3D 2nd leg Challenge. Nicole Bean placed 5th at the tournament.
The final competition will be Aug 12 th in Seven Springs PA, the team will be defending their 3rd place ranking in the HS Division, 10 archers will be traveling to PA.
Team members are Andrey Schwirian, Andrew Ulbrich, Braxton Springer, Ishan Matta, Jonathan Bruch, Elizabeth Nease, Paige Frazee, Lauren Chase, Sydney Hosek, Nicole Bean, Julie Ingraham, Olivia Bean, Mickey Springer, Emily Mingus, Amanda DeSantos, Raylin Fetherolf, Casey Hall-Jones, and Emma Ingraham.
Coaches are Anne L'Heureux, Scott Hall-Jones, Jean Thuma, and Byron Ingraham.
NASP is a National Archery in the Schools Program that is taught by a certified BAI instructor in a school's Physical Education classes.
