May Board of Education Meeting Moved to May 30, 2019, 6:30 pm, AHS Meeting Date Change on Post-it Note with Push Pin
There has been a change in the date of the May Board Meeting for the Athens City Schools. It will now be held on Thursday, May 30th at 6:30 pm at Athens High School.
Notice of School Bond Sale School Bond Sale Sign on Chalkboard
The Athens City School District has now received an updated credit rating and is in the process of finalizing the Preliminary Offering Statement for the sale of Bonds for the building project. The Administration anticipates having our bond underwriter, Baird, begin marketing the bonds to the public later this week with a final bond pricing date (sale date) on Wednesday, April 24th.

Athens Summer Youth Soccer Camp: June 3-6, 5-7 pm (1st - 6th Graders) Summer Soccer Camps
The annual Athens Summer Youth (Boys and Girls) Soccer Camp for current 1st - 6th graders will be held June 3rd - 6th, 5:00 - 7:00 pm eacah. Friday June 7th will be make up day if needed. The AHS Girls soccer team will be hosting a youth soccer camp focusing on team play, formation, shooting, passing, defensive and offensive techniques. The high school girls will be working alongside the campers making it a fun and exciting experience.

All AHS Students Participating in District Science Fair Win Superior Ratings AHS Science Fair 2019 Participants
Coached by teacher Andrea Anderson, ALL of the Athens High School students who competed at the Distracts received a Superior, the highest rating. All will compete at the state level and one, Shifra Narasimhan, has been promoted to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Phenox Arizona.
