Welcome to 6th Grade!

Thanks for reading a little bit more about me! I have been teaching for 19 years and have taught students from early elementary school to students in college! I started my teaching career in Federal Hocking School District, then worked twelve years for an online elementary school, and spent five years teaching as an adjunct for Ohio University. This is my fourth year at Athens City Schools and I'm really looking forward to working out of the brand new building!
I have lived in Athens for 29 years and am originally from the Cleveland area. I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, a master's degree in Elementary Education with a science focus, and a PhD in Instructional Technology.
This fall, my older daughter will attend Ohio University (senior) and is majoring in education as well! My younger daughter is a sophomore at OU majoring in engineering physics. My husband works with computers at Ohio University, but he is still working from home ;). As a family we all love to run. Both of our daughters have run cross country and track in high school. I'm also a huge fan of houseplants. My motto is "there's always room for one more!"
You can expect a weekly letter (email) from me highlighting the week's activities in math and science. Please reach out to me with any questions along our journey this year!
