HI!  Welcome to First Grade!!  I'd like to introduce myself.

I'm Liz Hoisington.  This is my 31st year of teaching.  I absolutely LOVE being a First Grade Teacher at The Plains Elementary!!  I went to The Plains Elementary when I was a student.  I graduated from Athens High School and Ohio University.  I am very committed to my students, their families, my school community and our town.  I'm excited for a year of learning, fun and making new friends.  

I am married to Dave.  He owns Dave Hoisington Realty.  Our son, Tyler, lives in Illinois.  He is an Ohio University graduate of Media Arts / Recording Industry and Business.  We also have a crazy dog named Izzy.

I love to read, sew and go to movies.  I also like to travel!

In the mornings I teach English / Language Arts.  In the afternoons I work with our Ohio University Partnership Students.  They are in our building on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

I'm really looking forward to spending the year with your child and being able to watch them grow both academically and socially.  I'm also looking forward to working with you, as a team, to best meet the needs of your child.  If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact me.
